Hello, I am a tennis member at the club and am a bit concerned over the amount of young people using this site as a meeting place in the evenings. Don't get me wrong - I don't mind local people doing this but it seems to be a problem with having a car park at the top and groups of cars coming to meet up. Last night we had a few problems, firstly they were throwing stones from the top car park at a telegraph pole ("lets see who can hit it") on the football field - so good luck to the next game that is played there with all the stones on it. Then when a person from the club asked them to leave - one young lad (about 18) started being aggressive then threatening the member and trying to find out which car the member came in so he could smash it up. I called the police as the threatening behaviour was occurring but as the youths were leaving they were not interested. The police station is literally across the road....... The youth's did come back later that night and there was already another group of lads (no problems with these ones) playing football on the old squash court. We were playing tennis against another local club and it was to say the least pretty dam embarrassing, they did ask at the end "do you always have this problem" and am pretty sure they left thinking - I don't want to return to that place. Any thoughts from anyone or has this been brought up before? Any help will be apprecited. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
